Take a look at what your very own seniors have to say about practice thus far:
Answering these 9 very difficult questions:)
1. What is different about practice this year compared to years past?
2. What is your favorite drill?
3. Who has surprised you most this season? (Player wise)
4. What do you think about the new players? (Ali, Linsay, Tiara, Kelly, Karlee)
5. Did coach do a good job recruiting them?
6. What do you want to personally improve on this season?
7. Give me a team goal that you feel is accurate for this season?
8. Is defense your favorite part of basketball?
9. How do you think we did during the first game against Oakland City?
Courtney Shuman:
1. more intense, we focus more on the things that we need to than doing the same thing every day. We condition more which definately is better.
2. dodge ball!!! duh silly!!! lol
3. Karlee....She is very aggressive and not afraid to take the ball into people.
4. I like them all. I love my team this year!!! They each have great personalities and their own specialty on the court.
5. oh coach did ok!!! lol jk he did good!! He finally got me a tall girl that I have been asking for forever!! :)
6. being a leader. there have always been other girls who were leaders. Im a quiet leader
7. host and win conference tourney. do well at the national tourney
8. oh not really!!! I kinda like offense!! but defense is ok
9. um i don't remember. I think we did pretty good tho!!
Jessica Vaughn:
1. I think this year is more intense.
2. Perfection drill
3. Kas- She is doing a good job at running the point.
4. All of the new players are doing well. I think they are all fitting into the team nicely.
5. Yes.
6. Defense
7. Win the GLVC Conference Tourny
8. Yep sure is.
9. I think we did well but still have things to improve on.
Stephanie Wagner:
1. This year practice is more demanding which will help us in the long run get to where we want to be. I also like the competitive nature that our team brings everyday to practice.
2. This one is easy full court shooting...just kidding my favorite drill is wolf pack!
3. Karlee has surprised me the most this season. I knew she was a good player but by being a freshman it is hard to adjust to the college game, but Karlee has done so well adjusting and has contributed so much to the team already.
4. I was amazed at how well all of the new players fit in so fast. We all get along so well and I could not ask for any better teamates. Ali is such a hard worker and very competitve she brings alot to our team and I am glad she chose to come here! She is also my rapping partner so I would be a solo artist without her which would not be as good. Karlee is such a good player and has such a bright future here! I also would not have passed algebra without her help so thanks! Kelly is a good shooter and a scrappy player and I am sad I will not get to play with her but she has such a good career ahead of her. Tiara is very quick and has a great attitude. Even though she will not get to step on the court this year she still brings her all everyday at practice to make us all better, which I am extremely greatful for. Linsay is a very good shot blocker and a HUGE presence on the court for us. If your having a bad day you can always count on Linsay to make you laugh!
5. Coach could not have done better with the recruiting class this year! Everyone he brought in is unselfish and fits in so well with our team it is unbelievable.
6. I personally want to improve on my rebounding this season. I need to work on finding the flight of the ball better and going after it.
7. I want our team to make it further than any other team in the past. We all want to make it to the final four and believe it is possible if we keep getting better and working hard everyday.
8. Defense is probably my favorite part of basketball but a close second is getting assists. Defense used to be my least favorite but once I started to understand that defense is just about working hard and getting to the right spots I really started to feed off my defense.
9. I honestly do not remember but we pulled out the win so it could not have been to bad.
