10-1,,is the record!!! Lady Hawks pick up two more W's.

Lady Hawks begin 2011 the same way they ended 2010, with a win and a smile on their faces! December 30th we played Oakland City after two week break. Looking more fresh than ever, the girls came back from their Christmas break with the same attitude, motivation, and drive as before break. With juniors Ali Schwagmeyer and Daryle Goldie making noise on the offensive end, we dominated every aspect in the scoring books. Ali finished with 22 points, Daryle added 18, we finished with 99 and all nine players that played scored for the first time this season! Holding Oakland City to 71 points.

After celebrating the New Year. We put all parties aside and got prepared for Sunday's game! The girls came out ready to play and proved we are ready for anyone in the conference. Using last seasons big loss to Northern Kentucky as motivation, this season was a different story. Again with junior Ali Schwagmeyer putting up big numbers (23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) and senior Courtney Shuman beasting it up (20 points and 5 rebounds) while also being in foul trouble most of the first half. We did quite alright, defeating those fools, 80-72!  Steph Wagner was the only other Lady Hawk in double figures, adding 14 to the cause.

We are now 10-1, and 2-1 in conference, looking stronger than ever. Things are looking bright and clear for us, as practice going GREAT and the girls are really starting to gel. So bring your game face, and be ready to cheer yo Lady Hawks to victory on January 4th while we face University of Indianapolis at 5:15!
