After a rough preseason (0-3). Coach Gravinia and the Lady Hawks evaluated the problem and got after it! Wanting to improve on defense, communication, aggression, pride and willingness. They nipped that right in the butt, as the work looked like it payed off. They opened up with a win Saturday in Oakland City. With a final of 96-61, topping the Oaks by almost 40 points! While working on communication and defense more than ever early on, in hopes it will be the difference between this year and last season. One thing will be for sure though, we have offense coming from every direction. In the opener the team had 5 players in double figures, and 9 girls helping the effort in the points column. Shooting as a team almost 50% from the field. Led by seniors Courtney Shuman and Steph Wagner with 16 points a piece. If the whole season goes this well, look out world:)
The Lady Hawks host their first Home game Friday, November 19th for the Tip-Off Tournament at 7pm.
Lets Go Hawks!!
